Our Story

Shelley and Shannah are sisters and named their cafe after their Grandma Myrtle. Myrtle was a great cook and the girls loved spending time at their Grandma's eating all her yummy goodies, especially the mulberry pie!! Their mum, Noela, also a fabulous cook was always in the kitchen with the girls and inspired them to bake all the time. (You'll see Noela in the cafe often, baking her specialties!!)

 Shelley is a travel agent and spent a lof of her teenage and college years working in bakeries. Shannah is an environmental scientist and spent many years in the hospitality industry. The girls bring aspects of their other careers to the cafe, and want you to enjoy coming to their cafe like they enjoyed going to their Grandma's house.  

We want people to enjoy the feeling of home baked cooking and we offer something different every day as we bake nearly everything on premises. The cabinet changes all the time and the blackboard specials keep our regulars wondering what they will have each day! We also stock a great range of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options for those with dietary requirements.
